  • This impressive exotic and white-tail hunting ranch is conveniently located between Bronte and Robert Lee with access provided by Indian Creek Road, a county maintained caliche road. The ranch lies approximately one mile south of Highway 158. Basic services including restaurants, gas and groceries are located in both Bronte and Robert Lee. The Bella Doria ranch is approximately 2 miles east of Robert Lee, 25 miles north of San Angelo, 52 miles southwest of Abilene and 95 miles east of Midland.

  • The Bella Doria Ranch offers a diverse terrain, an exceptional set of improvements including a lodge and state of the art deer breeding facility and excellent hunting opportunities. The property is high-game fenced on the perimeter to allow for better management of the deer and exotic herd. There are three primary pastures, one of which is high-fenced to hold various exotic game and introduced white-tail genetics. Overall the fences are considered to be in excellent condition. Various food plots are located throughout the property and have historically been planted in wheat or other small grains to provide additional feed for the wildlife. Brush density throughout the ranch varies from moderate to light. An aggressive brush removal program has been implemented on the ranch and there are intermittent areas where invasive brush has been removed. Species of brush on the ranch include cedar, mesquite, hackberry trees, white brush, persimmons, agarita, lotebush and other native brush species beneficial to wildlife. Grasses include buffalo grass, Texas winter grass, sideoats grama, little blue stem, silver blue stem and others. There is a good system of interior roads throughout the ranch allowing easy access around the property.
  • Located at the confluence of the Edwards Plateau and the Rolling Plains ecoregions, terrain consists of gently rolling to hilly terrain on the east and west ends of the ranch. The terrain slopes toward the middle of the ranch into Machae Creek which is a wet weather creek. There is more level country along the creek area. A large, rugged canyon is located in the southwest corner offering a quick change in elevation and rugged scenery. Many indian artifacts how been found along the canyon.
  • Water is provided by three water wells scattered throughout the ranch. The wells that supply water to the lodge and barn are both equipped with electric submersible pumps. One other well is equipped with a windmill. There are two other water wells that are currently not operational. Additionally, there are various earthen tanks located throughout the ranch including a chain of tanks located in the bottom of the canyon.
  • Whether used as private hunting retreat or a commercial hunting operation, the lodge provides exceptionally comfortable living arrangements. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, a large den with views of the hills to the south and rock fireplace, a modern kitchen and large laundry room. The bedrooms each have walk-in closets. Stained concrete floors and recessed lighting are located throughout the house. The deer breeding and handling facility is located in the central portion of the ranch. Here you will find a barn with feed and equipment storage in addition to state of the art deer handling facilities which include dark rooms, squeeze chutes and a lab room. There are 14 breeding pens that all feed into the working facility by way of a large alley. A stone entrance with an electric gate welcomes you to the ranch. 2017 property taxes with an Ag-use exemption were $6,108.05
  • Bar none, this is an awesome hunting ranch. White-tailed deer and various exotics roam the property. Exotic animals include aoudad, axis deer, blackbuck antelope, fallow deer, red stag and scimitar horned oryx. The exotic herd as well as deer used in the breeding process can be acquired for an additional expense. House furnishings can also be acquired making this a turn-key opportunity. Other native game animals include dove, quail and hogs.
